In the Summer of 1979 songwriter Sonny Condell (Vocals / Guitar), Greg Boland (Guitar), and Philip King (Vocals / Harmonica) came together to form Scullion. Their debut album was released the following year to much critical acclaim, which generated a huge demand for live performances by the band, including a legendary slot at the Lisdoonvarna Festival. A second album 'Balance and Control' (1981) was produced by one of their heroes, John Martyn, and again sold in large numbers. Another 2 albums 'White Side of Night' and 'Spin' followed in the 80s and they also had a massive airplay hit with “Carol”. Shortly afterwards Greg decided to explore new avenues and left the band after seven years. He was replaced by Robbie Overson, who is still the third member of Scullion over twenty years later. Two compilations of the bands music 'Eyelids Into Snow' and 'Ghosts and Heroes' have been released subsequently, cementing the band’s status as one of our most important traditional bands ever, up there with Planxty and Moving Hearts. Scullion are looking forward to supplying plenty of “craic agus ceol” at First Of The Summer Wine, their first Waterford gig in a long, long time.

Túcan are an instrumental acoustic guitar duo, Donal Gunne and Pearse Feeney from Sligo, who delivered on their promise by releasing one of the best Irish CDs of last year, “Aliquot Strings”. Tucan first took their music on the road by spending their summers busking in Europe. Since returning to Ireland the pair have dived full-time into the world of music and to date they have shared the stage with major acts like Rodrigo y Gabriela, Kila, José Feliciano, Regina Spektor and Dervish. After a successful summer on the festival circuit last year, including Electric Picnic (where they closed out the event on the Sunday night to an audience of 3,000 in the Body & Soul arena), Tucan won 'Best Musical Group' at the 14th annual Aoife (association of Irish festival events) Awards. And now for their 2010 live shows, the Tucan line-up has been expanded to include the prodigious talents of drummer and percussionist Paul Wehrly, and bass player Keith Kelly. The new line up has dramatically spiced things up, adding serious groove and power to the overall sound, not to mention causing some to call for a renaming to Fórcan !

The Ceili Allstars are a fresh and exciting five piece traditional Irish music band from Cork. They evolved from a group of friends playing on the session trail in Cork city in the late nineties. The group have similar tastes and styles of Irish traditional music and originally hail from the Sliabh Luachra area near the Cork-Kerry border. As well as having several regular gigs in some of Corks top venues, they are no strangers to the big stage. Highlights for the group so far have been playing support to Mosaik (featuring members of Planxty) in the Cork Opera House and travelling to Sri Lanka as part of the 2004 St. Patricks Day celebrations in Colombo. For the past four years they have also played in Amsterdam as part of the St. Patrick's Day celebrations there. The most recent trip abroad found them playing in Parma, Italy as part of Festa dell Europa, an international music festival featuring acts from all over Europe. In 2005 the group appeared on a documentary entitled A Magic Night in The Lobby Bar, which was hosted by John Spillane and broadcast on RTE.
